So, your wedding day has come to a bitter-sweet end…

You may ask yourself- What part of this memorable day can I keep to show besides my wedding ring?

Well, we have a fun and creative idea to help you with that.

---Simple steps to make a DIY framed piece of artwork out of your wedding plants---

Leaf

Step 1: Know your frame size and style before picking your plant or flowers. You can choose a clear frame or go with a traditional frame with back matting. (Pick firmer plants or flowers- because soft ones tend to turn brown more quickly.) I chose to go with simplistic leaves from a Hawaiian style wedding.

Book

Step 2: Sandwich your leaves between Newspaper and place heavy books on top to press the plant down. (The heavier the better)

Gel

Step 3: Sprinkle silica gel onto the newspaper and on top of your plant. (Silica dries them out a weeks time faster and keeps the color in tact). Leave the plants under their books for about a week.

Step 4: Uncover and gently take your pressed plants out. Dust off any remaining silica that may be present on your plant.

Step 5: Arrange, Hang and Enjoy!
