Accounts Payable Manager
In some ways, it is fitting that Julia has been named PRI Productions’ Traffic Controller. The position implies the understanding of logistics to make things run smoothly, and that is what Julia has been doing for most of her life. She was born in St. Louis, moving to Jacksonville when her dad was chosen to make things run smoothly as part of the team of civil engineers that designed Jacksonville’s, “Green Monster” – also known as the Hart Bridge. (Her father would later be on the team that designed Jacksonville’s Dames Point Bridge)
Julia graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in International studies, and then moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked for several years for the F.B.I. working on Freedom of Information Act requests.
Next, was an eight year stint in Boston, as a program planner of evening seminars and career panels for the W.E.I.U. -Women’s Educational & Industrial Union, which helped with the advancement of women in the workplace, and especially focused on helping low-income mothers and their families work towards a better life.
In 1989, Julia move to New York City to work for the headquarters of ASCE -the American Society of Civil Engineers, –conveniently located across 1st Avenue from the United Nations Complex. It was here Julia meshed her degree in International Studies with conference and event planning as Senior Manager of the International Department. For several years, she organized conferences and cultivated international relationships. When ASCE relocated its World Headquarters to Reston, Virginia, Julia moved as well, continuing to build international programs.
Most recently, Julia worked with Visit Jacksonville as Director of Group Services, where once again, her role was to make things flow smoothly as the liaison between meeting planners and Jacksonville resources. Her group was honored in five consecutive years for outstanding service by meeting planners.
It was during this time that Julia met Randy Goodwin, — PRI Production’s Founder and President. Today, she is proud to be a member of the PRI family, doing what she does best.
Away from work, Julia enjoys yoga, contemporary art, and spending quality time with good friends.Jacksonville paintersroof cleaning Orlandopainters Orlando
